
Instructor Connor Martin
Connor began his Martial Arts training at Cepeda Brothers Martial Arts in 1995. He continued his training at Arena Martial Arts and later at Brand X when it opened in 1999, and becoming it’s first Black Belt recipient in May of 2005 at age 13.
Connor has trained in Krav Maga for the last five years and periodically visits the National Training Center in Los Angeles. He has also trained in Brazilian Jui Jitsu, and Arnis De Mano and trained under Master Brian Adams.
Additionally, in January of 2005 Connor became a USA Certified Olympic Weightlifting Club Coach under Coach Mike Burgener of Vista. He also became a Certified CrossFit trainer in February 2005, becoming the youngest Certified CrossFit Coach in the United States. He appears often on the CrossFit website as a standout performer.
Connor runs a Teen CrossFit program at Brand X with classmate David Shanahan, Jr. and assists in many other classes. He plans to be on the Ramona High School Track Team and Wrestling Team for the 2005-2006 Season, and compete in Olympic Weightlifting with Coach Burgener.
