
Sr. Instructor CJ Johnson
Born in Tusked Alabama, Senior Instructor C.J. came to San Diego through his enlistment in the Navy. After his discharge he decided to stay in San Diego. Having always wanted to train in the Martial Arts, he looked for a school to train at, and instead found a home at Cepeda Martial Arts. He says that training under Sifu Dan and Sifu Fred Cepeda were the best years of his life, and that the friends he made there will last a lifetime.
Senior Instructor C.J. received his black belt in July of 1992. He has continued his training and received his third degree in September 2000. Senior Instructor C.J. also trains with Maestro Louie Orlina in the Filipino weapons art of Arnis De Mano. He assists at Brand X Martial Arts and recently attended the CCS in LA in June 2003 given by Darren Levine, Bas Rutten and Amir Perets, focusing on Submissions, Weapons and Third Party Defense.
